Behavioral Health

Individual grants may be awarded up to $140,000 over two years.

NOTE: As we shift to a two-year grant cycle we won't be accepting new behavioral health grant applications in 2025. We'll reopen this funding area in 2026.

We prioritize proposals that strategically align their work to advance health equity especially for the following communities:

  • Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)
  • Children and youth
  • Immigrants and refugees
  • Individuals experiencing homelessness
  • Individuals living in rural areas
  • Individuals who are currently or formerly incarcerated
  • LGBTQ+
  • Survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence
  • Veterans
  • Youth in or aging out of foster care

We seek proposals that provide support for people experiencing serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders. We prioritize proposals that address:

  • Behavioral health workforce
  • Co-occurring disorders
  • Culturally-focused care
  • Integration of physical and behavioral health care
  • Service delivery gaps
  • Supportive and intensive case management services

Eligibility:

  • We provide behavioral health grant funding to support chemical or mental health. Programming that addresses the lifestyle behaviors of individuals doesn't meet our criteria and is ineligible.
